A Sunday Quote

This is one of my absolute favorite quotes by the Doctor! It's kinda self explanatory. So I'll just leave you with it. :)

20 Things I've Learned Watching Doctor Who

It's 6:00am folks. A sure sign that if I'm up, bad things have gone down.
What's wrong? Well...I was watching Doctor Who all afternoon yesterday and now I'm scared to death. I cant sleep because in the time it takes to stop what I'm doing and fall asleep, I'll freak myself out again. Cause I'm that smart. *sigh* (And for all you "early to bed, early to rise"rs, no. I didn't go to sleep until 12:30-1:00.)
Anyway, to occupy my terrified brain, I give you, 20 Things I Learned From Watching Doctor Who.

1. Above all, fear Moffat. He has the power to kill any of your favorite characters. And he probably will. Or he'll think up a fate worse than death. And he'll make sure it's filmed in a way that will rip your heart in two.

2. Wilfred is the best old man of all time.

3. Jackie Tyler is the most annoying fictional character EVER!

4. Don't eat carrots on Mars. Just please... (enter: this ep is the root of my fear. I've got my ears involuntarily trained to detect any noise. Which is why I woke up when my dad went to work. Please help me.)

5. Don't blink. Don't look away, don't turn your back, and whatever you do, don't blink. Good luck.  (Okay, this is probably part of it too.)

6. Sally Sparrow would be an epic companion!

7. Copycats are the freakiest things ever. If you ever start repeating what I say, I'll either a.) Run for my life. Or b.) Slap you and proceed to chew you out. Either way...

8. Allons-y Alonzo! :)

9. The master is kind of awesome. Like, I'm supposed to hate him but...I just can't. Although, him being all insane in the warehouse thing, most disturbing thing ever. Insane people are the scariest.

10. I love Scotland.

11. Cybermen are annoying.

12. Mickey is the stupidest television character of ALL time. Hands down. No contest.

13. I should stop thinking about the Waters of Mars before I literally go insane...

14. Matt Smith is adorable.

15. River. Freaking. Song.

16. Mixing genres is awesome. Dinosaurs on a spaceship? Totally works!

17. More men should wear bowties and converse. :)

18. I forget what I was going to write for this one...

19. I need a guy like Rory. Or maybe like the Doctor. Either one works.

20. "Hi! I'm captain Jack Harkness." *heart melts*

Note: All the pictures I got from pinterest. I don't know how to make it say that underneath them so I'll say it here!

Donna Noble

Note: This post is Doctor Who related. If you are a hater like most of my IRL friends, please don't comment with hate. Just ignore this post! Easy! Thank you very much! :)

She didn't feel important. She was just another woman. She wasn't special. She had nothing to give.
Donna Noble. The Doctor's companion. His best friend.

"Doctor, you can stop now."

This woman had no idea the role she would play. She didn't realize how important she was.

She covered up her insecurity with the most fierce of temperaments. Sarcastic and witty. And perhaps a bit hard of hearing.

"You just want TO mate?? Well, you're not matin with me spaceman!"

Donna Noble is my favorite companion for five reasons. If you hate her or think I'm crazy, bear with me. I think I have some pretty good reasons.

Reason #1: She makes me laugh. I adore her humor so much. She is so fun to watch. I think Catherine Tate did a fantastic job!

Reason #2: She is relatable.  Donna is insecure. She sees herself as someone who couldn't possibly have any role to play. It makes it so much better because she was so wrong.

Reason #3: She's the Doctor's support. His best friend. There was never anything romantic between the two. It's so refreshing to watch a friendship instead of romance sometimes.

Reason #4: She may not have been the most beautiful of the companions, but sometimes I feel like she shined the brightest. She had a gorgeous smile and amazing eyes. Her personality and sensitivity made her stunning. She was the nice one in the library. She was sensitive to other's needs. She could see the hurt in others.

Reason #5: I won't give away her ending if you don't already know but I will say, it killed me inside. The look in her eyes, the Doctor's sacrifice, and Wilfred's promise. My heart just broke in two. She didn't deserve it. She had just begun to see herself as special. She was beginning to see her worth. I think that's what made it worse for me.

Donna Noble is an amazing character. No matter what anyone says, she will always be one of the best companions.

And so, so important.

Informational Bits

Hello! I'm so sorry there was no informationy type post today about writing or books or anything. I got kind lost watching Doctor Who. Whovians will know how that goes. Actually, there will be one! Here it goes!

Informational bit #1: That whole bit about GFC and Google reader going away? Seems the rumors were wrong. It's still there. I was surprised for sure! If you know why they stayed, please share! I'm quite curious.

Informational bit #2: I miss Amy Pond. That should be self-explanatory if you are a fellow Whovian. *goes to sob in a corner*

Informational bit #3: I'll be posting some book reviews and character...for lack of a better word; character analysis's, sometime soon! I've been reading a lot and rereading even more! It's inspired me for a lot of posts! Be on the look out!

Informational bit #4: I wrote a guest post! It was posted on Wednesday but it completely slipped my mind to let you know! You can find it at http://katie-writingblog.blogspot.com/2013/07/guest-post-beth.html?m=0 I'm so glad I got the oppurtunity to write it! Go check it out!

Top Fictional Guys I Fangirl Over (Movies And TV)

If you remember, last week I did a post with a list of the guys from books that I fangirl over the most. Today's post is the same but with movie and TV guys instead! Possibly more lengthy...we shall see.

•Gilbert Blythe. Cause he's Gilbert Blythe. You know?

•Sherlock Holmes. Both. Movie and TV. But mostly Mr. Cumberbatch. :) (sorry Robert!) "You were thinking. It's annoying."

•Rory Williams/Pond. Nuff said.

•Edmund Pevensie. Only in the later two  obviously. He's so little in the first one!

•Loki! Duh! This is a no brainer. I don't care if he's the villian.

•The Doctor. Any of them really. But Mostly Matt Smith. :) "Beans are evil. Bad bad beans."

•Captain Jack Sparrow. "Nobody move! I dropped me brain...", "How far are you willing to go to save her?" "I'd die for her!" "Oh good!"

•Riley Poole. See, this is more how I am in real life! I like the nerdy ones! Although, I did put Loki on this list...

•Dustfinger. Paul Bettany's voice. Nuff said.

•Jarvis. (Iron Man's computer.) okay, this one is only for Paul Bettany's voice but seriously! He's awesome!

•Finnick Odair. Yeah, Catching Fire isn't out yet. I still love Finnick. Cause I know they're going to make him awesome!

•Peeta Mellark. Though he wasnt quite as epic as in the book. I still love him! Just a teeny tiny bit less.

•Murtagh. Him and Brom were the only redeeming qualities to this movie. The ONLY good things. (Except maybe the fact that Robert Carlyle is in it. But he doesn't count cause Durza really creeps me out.)

•The Mad Hatter. (Once Upon A Time) Again with the creepy guys...hmmm...

•Merlin. (From the TV show)

•Arthur. (From aforementioned TV show.) <3

Here's why those are mentioned:

Hehe. I love them. :D

•Bofur. (The Hobbit) He is so talented! Not even because of looks or whatever. I adore his voice and his talent and his personality...:) "Think furnace, with wings!"

•Bruce Banner. Weird I know. But his character is one of the best in the Avengers! He makes me happy!

•Hawkeye. I love him. All my friends think I'm crazy. But I still do. :)

•Aragorn. Because honestly, who doesn't like Aragorn? (Actually...I take that back. I have a friend who thinks he's whiny. But then again, said friend has strange taste in movies...)

•Laurie. (Little Women.) Ah. Christian Bale. I get absolutely giddy at the part when Laurie and Jo are discussing him going to college and he puts the book up to his face and say, "a glove!" If you've seen the movie, you know what I mean. :)

•Mr. Bingely! (From the Kiera Knightely version) This man is so adorable!

I do believe that's all!

Who would you add?
